2026.02.2007:50:25UTC+00Turkey Factory Capacity Utilization Falls in February

Turkey’s manufacturing sector operated at 73.5% of its production capacity in February 2026, down from 74.1% in January. This was the lowest level since August 2025, underscoring a continued slowdown in industrial activity at the beginning of the year. The decline in capacity utilization was driven primarily by weaker output in investment goods, where the rate fell to 70.1% from 71.5%, and in non-durable consumer goods, which slipped to 72.1% from 72.4%. Utilization in food and beverages also eased slightly to 72.5% from 72.8%, while the rate for intermediate goods edged down to 74.9% from 75.2%. In contrast, usage in the production of durable consumer goods rose modestly to 66.7% from 65.5%, and overall consumer goods utilization held steady at 71.2%.
